Welcome to Alli Mason Veterinary Physiotherapy!
What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?
Veterinary Physiotherapy aims to assess and treat muscular, skeletal and neurological conditions in all animals. Primary aims include:
reducing pain and inflammation
improve overall performance
improve joint range of motion and muscle flexibility and extensibility
maintain health and fitness
reducing the chance of injury or re-injury
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the aid of a palpation and dynamic assessment can help identify problems. A treatment plan is then devised for the individual to reach personal goals, whether this be maintenance or improvement.
Many techniques can be used within physiotherapy, these can include massage, stretches, remedial and targeted exercise as well as the aid of electrotherapies.
